Many local PTAs coordinate spirit nights with local restaurants, where a portion of the sales for a particular day/time benefit the local PTA.
The Plano ISD Council of PTAs is trying something new - coordinating local campus spirit nights in one main location online by utilizing a TeamUp.com calendar.
The focus is to provide a convenience for families on the go, as well as benefit the PTA and the local businesses. It's a great way to build relationships between a campus and the local community as well as a way to encourage collaboration between the Booster Clubs and the local PTA at each school by promoting each other’s events and creating more sales, since events will be open to all PISD families.
