Plano PTA Life MemberSHIP Banquet

With regret, the Plano ISD Council of PTAs will not be hosting a Texas PTA Honorary Life Membership Banquet this year.

 

The discussion regarding this year's banquet began last Spring as we created the 2023-24 budget. Based on the lack of volunteer interest in helping plan and coordinate the banquet, combined with the increasing costs associated with hosting an event at a non-district facility, Council volunteers made the difficult decision that hosting such a banquet was not in the best interest of Council at this time.

We know that many local Plano ISD PTAs and PTSAs will be disappointed, as we are, that such a great avenue for celebrating volunteers will be unavailable this year. We remain hopeful that this decision will help highlight the ongoing need for more volunteer involvement with our Council, as well as among our local PTA and PTSA organizations, so that we may potentially resume events like this in the future.
