Local PTA Impact Grants Program
At Plano ISD Council of PTAs, we believe in empowering our local PTAs to enrich the educational experience of students across our district. To support innovative programs and initiatives, we are proud to offer the Local PTA Impact Grants, designed to help PTAs enhance learning, foster creativity, and build stronger communities.
Program Details
Plano ISD Council of PTAs Local PTA Impact Grants provide financial assistance to local PTAs looking to launch or sustain educational programs that support student achievement, wellness, and engagement. Grants will be awarded based on the project's potential to create a positive, long-lasting impact on students and schools. PTAs may only receive one grant per school year.
Eligibility
All Plano PTAs in good standing with both Texas PTA and Plano ISD Council of PTAs are eligible to apply. We encourage proposals that focus on the following areas:
- Academic enrichment
- Health and wellness
- Family engagement
- Leadership development
- Cultural programs
- Social-emotional learning
2024 Grant Recipients
We were thrilled to announce the winners of our inaugural Local PTA Impact Grants Program at our November Council Delegate meeting! These grants are designed to support innovative programs that empower students, families, and schools.
- Mitchell Elementary PTA: Language Learning Initiative to foster inclusion for all students and families on campus.
- Plano Academy PTSA: Student Involvement and Outreach to enrich the campus community by engaging students, families, and future learners.
The Local PTA Impact Grants Program empowers PTAs to create lasting change! From supporting student achievement to enhancing campus communities, these grants fund projects that make a REAL difference.

1. Pre-Application Process
The following must be shared with your Principal and approval obtained before submitting an application.

A detailed project proposal outlining objectives, timeline, and expected outcomes

A budget breakdown

A statement explaining how the grant will benefit students
2. APPLICATION PROCESS

PTA discusses the proposal with the Principal to gain their support.

PTA submits the Application Form after receiving the Principal's approval.

Council Grant Committee votes on whether the grant will proceed as submitted.

Council contacts the Principal via email, providing the grant details and requesting email consent.

Once the Principal's email consent is received, Council distributes the grant funds to the PTA.

PTA invites Council to the grant's implementation, and Council shares updates on social media.

Council is recognized as a sponsor and our logo is used on promotional materials accordingly.
