The Collaborative Arts of Plano in partnership with The Shops of Willow Bend presents North Texas Carnival of the Arts on Saturday, September 28 at The Shops of Willow Bend in Plano. The free family friendly arts festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in and near the Grand Court of The Shops of Willow Bend. The festival will feature free, hands on fun visual and performing arts opportunities both on and off the stage as well as opportunities to shop local artists for a perfect gift!

 

Enjoy getting artsy with hands on visual art activities, exhibits, performances from Crayola, Plano Art Association, North Texas Performing Arts, Chamberlain Ballet, ArtCentre of Plano, Amy Pagan Art, Plano Metropolitan Ballet, Plano International Arts Festival, Children’s Chorus of Collin County, Nruthya Shakti Dance, Plano African Art Museum, Plano Civic Chorus, Plano Community Band, Garage Arts Project, Rover Dramawerks, Collin College, Celebrating Asian American Heritage Foundation, Plano Comedy Festival, Artist Melanie Brigante, City of Plano Crime Unit, City of Plano Public Libraries, Spark!, Tomer’s Tipsey Creations, Prestonwood Baptist Church, Collin County Ballet, Art by Amy, North Texas Square and Round Dance, Abbigail Griddinger, ASI Gymnastics, Chloe Mae Studios, Anime Art and Friends, Souzie G Art, Ikebana 4 U, Lifestyle and Wellness, Plano PTA, Allen Civic Ballet and artist Jenn Serano. The event is chaired by North Texas Performing Arts.

 

The first five hundred people to register for the free event will receive a special promo bag and be entered into a special drawing for gift certificates from The Shops of Willow Bend merchants and gift certificates from Plano arts organizations. “The North Texas Carnival of the Arts will feature face painting, sculpture, a group visual arts mural art, exhibit by Plano Art Association members, dance, Bollywood Flash Mob, unique art for sale, a fashion show by Plano International Festival and Plano African American Museum members, and fun performances by DFW’s arts groups!” says Collaborative Arts of Plano President Sara Egelston Akers.
